Currently, the City has four active wells located throughout the City. These wells pump water into two ground storage tanks. Between the two tanks, the City has the ability to store over 3 million gallons of water. The City then pumps water from these storage tanks into two elevated tanks. These two tanks hold over 400,000 gallons of water. The purpose of these tanks is to provide pressure to all of the customers and to provide adequate pressures for fire fighting purposes.

At this point in time, the City does not add any flouride to the water. We add chlorine for disinfection as required by state law and Orthophosphate. Orthophosphate is a chemical that helps remove iron from the water and helps prevent lead and copper from being leached into the City's drinking water.
